Eastern Europe Wine Region of Georgia : Dry Red Wines with a 6,000 Year History
The Eastern European vineyards of Georgia were recently given a boost after being highlighted on The 60 Minutes TV show as the worlds oldest wine growing region. The signature grape varietal is Saperavi, much akin to Merlot, producing dry red offerings with a mineral tone and notes of black fruits. Typically retailing in the $15 range, this is a great consumer value. #georgianwine #saperavi #winehistory #wineeducation #redwinelover
